Been a while since I posted something. Here are two pictures, both for other people. The first is an art-trade in progress:

And just for fun, here’s an in-progress shot of a painting I’m doing of my cat, Daisy. This is how she looks when she wants to play.

LIFE.

It’s crazy. I’ve been preoccupied again by drama, this time of the living-situation variety, and am going to be moving AGAIN pretty soon. In the meantime I haven’t had too much time for digital art (most of what I’ve been doing are little doodles in my sketchbook), but I am working on the following piece – translating two characters into a story universe of mine. The gal featured below is a bit of a hussy and belongs to me, while the male is quite blatantly referencing my best friend Steve’s character, at his request.

Right now I’m just laying down flats, as this will be a (mostly) lineless image. I’ve only JUST gotten to laying out the background, so you’ll have to excuse me for that! The gent here is pulling up the lady’s boot, but I am lazy and have not done his hands as of yet. I did have a lot of fun stylizing the two of them though, and making the gal’s legs about a million miles long.

The title comes from the fact that this young fellow’s assassination will spur the entire plot of the story, whenever I get out of the conceptual phase for it. Hope you enjoy.

Well, after five (almost six? I’ve been playing since beta) long years, I am finally quitting World of Warcraft. The game has been awesome fun – I’ve met one of my very best friends through it (hi Steve!) and have met so many unique and talented people, including the wonderful Emily and Kate. However, it’s time to say goodbye, so I’m drawing up a picture of my favorite mains from over the years in order to commemorate it.

I’ll be adding in my NE hunter soon.

Got 2/3 commissions finished for the wonderfully sweet Marie at the time of this posting. The third one should be done later today, but I figured I’d show you all what I have so far. They’re all profile shot commissions, done during the sale when they were up for only $8, and they have all taken me WAY too long to do, due to me getting the swine flu and acute bronchitis during the course of the orders.

First one was the easiest to do. Her outfit was pretty simple in comparison to the others, which were reaaaally difficult to stylize.

This one was a pain in the arse, but I like how it turned out for the most part. The armor gave me hell – it certainly was a learning process! =)

Lastly, a free sketch for Marie, done because she was so wonderfully patient with me throughout her commission. It ended up taking me two entire months to finish – everything on earth seemed to be going wrong. First I lost my pen, then I got loaded with assignments at work, then I got the swine flu, which later developed into acute bronchitis (from which I am still recovering). I was thoroughly embarrassed by how long it was taking me to finish her commission, but she was an enormous sweetheart throughout the entire thing, and infinitely patient. If you’re reading this, thanks for being such a wonderful customer, Marie!

Well, due to some craziness in Real Life, I haven’t been able to do much art lately, so I put together a post of random unfinished things I’ve been periodically working on. Some of these I may eventually finish, a lot of them will just rot in Art Hell.
